SugarHouse says the additional games would generate another 100 jobs. “The tremendous popularity of our table games is having a positive impact across the entire operation.”
“The Philly market is speaking to us, and we’re listening,” said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. The High Limit Area and Asian-themed table games would be relocated and reconfigured, and service at The Refinery’s waterfront bar would expand.Īccording to the statement, SugarHouse wants to increase the number of table games due to customer demand. According to a press statement, this space would be carved out of the existing floor space by reducing the size of The Refinery restaurant’s seating.
The additional table games would require 2,200 additional square feet of gaming floor, bringing the total to 53,217 square feet. SugarHouse Casino has asked the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for permission to add 14 new table games, which would bring the total number of tables to 57.
